Nyepi day in Bali, Indonesia. March 5

Well, we managed to stay happy today while we waited for the Balinese New Year's restrictions to be lifted.
Here are some of the group of lodgers in the common room/dinning area this morning. The hotel has been making meals like crazy with a few staff keeping up with everyone.

It rained really hard right after breakfast and then turned sunny for the afternoon. Now it is supper and there is a thunder storm with tons of rain.

Now for some photos around the hotel.

This is the passageway from the common room in the front to the inner court yard where the rooms and the pool are.

This hotel, The Island Bali, is charging $30.00 per night for a 12 bed dorm room. The room is exceptional though and the hotel is pretty good.

A view toward the front from inside the courtyard.

There are three levels of outdoor sunning. This is the pool on the main level.

Second level sundeck.

A private little temple in the yard next door. It is family size.

Well, it will soon be dark and then tomorrow I can go out and see where I am. I hear they also have a beach.
Today all I did was eat, swim, sit in the sun and read. Not a bad day for a captive!
